Aren’t the Census and US Vital Statistics engaging in pseudoscience?

Everything they do is because it was written into law. The Congressman don’t even read the bills which are hundreds of pages long. The President then signs the bill as a stimulus package and then the government bureacrats enforce the law just for the sake of it and could care less where the grant money goes because they have no incentive to get accurate statistics.

It is hardly the way a scientist does research which is to do a study and then submit the findings to a peer-reviewed journal and see if other scientists are able to replicate the data.

Your statement has nothing to say about what is wrong with the data that comes from the census. The census is mandated by law, and it is the basis for determining the number of Representatives in Congress that come from each state. The census was also used to determine the number of draftees were to come from each state during the Vietnam debacle.

This information is not scientific research. It uses statistical methods that are used to make estimates, not necessarily exact numbers. It costs so much to do a census that no institution would have the money to run it more than once per decade.

Where are foreclosure notices published in the public record in Miami Dade county?

Is there a way to find homes that are currently in foreclosure prior to auction?

realtytrac charges a fee (they do have a free trial) but is an invaluable resource. The fee is minimal. If you do not want to pay, you can check the Legal Notices for Notice of Lis Pendens. That is the legal notice that begins the foreclosure action. The notice that ends the action would be Notice of Sale.

You can find the Miami Herald legal notice section here:

Good luck, I hope this helps.

What government related essay topic would be a good one to write on?

My professor assigned an essay for us to write and his only instructions is to have it government related. I am suppose to use evidence, or support from a few reading we did together in class. I can’t seem to come up with a good topic, so I decided to ask other people for help. If you know a good government related essay topic please do suggest it! Thanks.

Government related in what aspect? I think addressing the issue of the government providing Health Care to Americans would be a great topic as there is so much debate around it. Other good topics maybe the improvements in the U.S. defense system after 9/11 and the impact it had on U.S. citizens (airport security, bomb scares, drills, etc).

Or Even relate the 2 in a sense. Use the amount of money used to defend the country in comparison to how much it would cost to provide basic Health Care coverage to americans.

Improvements in the Welfare system is another great topic as well.

What is the most effective birth control with the least side effects?

I’ve been given Tri-Sprintec because my first birth control I was given is slightly rare–What is the best birth control with fewest side effects? I’ve heard of birth control side effects being gain of water weight, increased or suppressed appetite, etc. Does anyone know if Tri Sprintec has these as side effects? And what birth control wouldn’t have weight gain as a side effect?

Abstinence is the only birth control that offers what you are looking for.
