I am working on my family tree and I have not been able to find birth and death records on many of my family.

There is no one best site. These may help get you started. birth records are generally off-line to avoid identity theft. Some US Gen Web county sites have old ones, but it is spotty.

Surname meanings and origins

A word of warning – there isn’t a magic site that will take your name in and give you a 12-generation pedigree. Genealogy takes time.

A second W. of W. – You won’t find living people on any of the sites except the phone book one. You will have to find your grandparents’ or great grandparents’ birth dates and maiden names somewhere besides the Internet.

A third W. of W. – The free sites are supported by advertising, just like TV. You can’t watch the Super Bowl without seeing a beer commercial, and you can’t surf for dead relatives without seeing an Ancestry advertisement. Don’t complain about advertisements. They bring you the "free" sites. There’s no such thing as a free lunch.

Does a Power of Attorney need to be recorded with the county recorder’s Office to be considered a legal document?

I have been named as Power of Attorney over a friend, who is in the hospital. The document has been signed and notarized, but am not sure if it also needs to be recorded.

Go to your County Court house and ask for the Justice of The Peace in your precinct. Walk in and ask the JP’s secretary for the forms – fill them out – file them with the JP and they will set a court date for you.

You will have to serve the opposing party and usually the Precinct Constable (same precinct) will do this for $50.

The dem controlled legislature in Mass passing a law calling for a special election immediately if Herman Munster won election so Romney couldn’t appoint someone to fill the vacancy, and then passing a law repealing that so the current governor could appoint a lib crony to fill Kennedy’s seat.

So many people I read say they’d like a home birth for their second or third babies, but birth their first in hospitals. Why is this?

If home birth is what you want, why not do it the first time too?

As a midwife who has delivered many babies at home I can say that there is no reason why you shouldn’t have your 1st baby at home. If you are a fit healthy woman who has an uncomplicated pregnancy then the evidence is that you are probably safer at home. You will get one to one care from your midwife, are less likely to be interfered with, less likely to get hospital acquired infections. Midwives are the expert in normal pregnancy and childbirth, and so long as you get one who is truly comfortable and confident she will be the best safeguard you can have to prevent complications. We are trained to spot potential problems and deal with them before they become a serious issue. Confidential enquiries in the U.K, which look at why things go wrong repeatedly come up with one to one care by a midwife to be the most important factor in preventing serious mistakes and complications. Sadly, in many hospitals you may share your midwife with at least one other mother. People who are against home birth often have no confidence in women’s abilities to birth their own babies, quoting things that can go wrong. Sadly, most of the things that go wrong for healthy women with normal pregnancies are created by interference. Interference then causes a cascade effect which goes from bad to worse. Epidurals are a good example of this. They have been proven to slow labour, this leads to drugs being used to speed it up, which in turn can cause fetal distress, which can then result in an assisted delivery or even a caesarean section. Question people who have horror stories and you will often find that either thay had a complicated pregnancy or had interference in hospital. Having your baby at home does not mean you can’t have pain relief, you can have gas and air and usually pethidine, just no epidural, but again, evidence has proved that women who give birth in a relaxed comfortable environment need and use far less pain relief and usually have quicker labours. Trust your body and have your home birth. Hospitals are for sick people and those with problems.

my height is 5′2 and my current statistics is 33-31-34 is that normal and advice me about a diet that i could try at home..

If you mean the normal weight to this age ; then I think it depends on your height
since we deal with kilos then I might not be able to tell you much but ,, my friend is 170cm so her regular/normal weight is 60 kilos which means about 132 pounds
so , mostly , it depends on your height and then comes the shape of your body

I am planning to buy this house and want to know if there are any violations the sellers made like construction done without county’s permission etc.

You could look for law suits filed against the owners in Hayward at the court house there. This will at least clue you in to legal problems, which can be construction related.

Of course anything without a permit will not have one recorded. If the county did anything it was either issue a permit or require a tear down (they lean toward tear down).

Don’t say go to a lawyer, I would like the actual steps like filing paper work.

Go to the courthouse and file a Plaintiff’s Original Petition. Some courthouses have a blank form to fill in. Make sure you have copies of any kind of evidence to attach. Pay for the filing fee, citation and service fee, and jury fee if you want a jury. Then, wait until an answer is filed by the defendant that you sued and then look into a court hearing date. Some jurisdictions require mediation prior to the hearing. Also, bring copies of the petition and evidence/exhibits that you want to attach to the petition so that you can have them file marked.
Note: make sure you file in the proper precinct — call the court first and ask them.

The demand for power in India has been constantly growing. However, power generation has not kept pace with demand, leading to frequent power cuts in several parts of India. Against this backdrop, assess the government’s efforts to build multiple nuclear plants in the country. What are the pros and cons of nuclear power? Considering that countries like the US have not constructed new nuclear power plants in the last few decades due to the high costs involved and other reasons, how does one justify the Indian government’s plans? Support your argument with facts and figures.

PROS
!. Fission is the most energy for the least fuel with current technology.
2. Less fuel means less waste, and the waste is all accounted for, not released into the atmosphere to become someone else’s problem.
3. Uranium is readily available, very common in the earth’s crust (about the same as tin)
4. Economical – operating cost about the same as coal, fuel cost is a much smaller percentage of the total, therefore less susceptible to price fluctuations.
5. Reliable – Nuclear power plants have very high capacity factors, Much higher than solar or wind
6. No combustion, no Co, CO2 or SO2 released.
7. Creates high paying, skilled jobs.
8. Reduce dependence on foreign oil/ fuel. Uranium available domestically and in oceans.
9. High temperature reactors could produce Hydrogen as well as electricity.
10. Fantastic safety record.
11, Does not require back-up and storage facilities like solar and wind.
12. More economical than solar per Mw produced.
13. Much smaller footprint, takes up less land than Solar or wind.

CONS
1. Irrational fear of all things nuclear.
2. High cost to build and license, large initial investment for long term pay back.
3. Publicly accepted high level storage facility not domestically available.
4. Reprocessing facility not domestically available.

5. Security concerns, proliferation and terrorism.
Nuclear power, I believe is the best, safest, most reliable, current technology to provide energy. The plants operating now are safe and the new designs are even safer.
Building 100’s of new nuclear power plants would improve the economy, reduce or eliminate dependence on foreign oil, create jobs, reduce pollution, and provide for future technological advancement.
I have been working with nuclear power for about 30 years, I would be glad to have a Nuclear power plant or high level waste disposal facility in my backyard. My family and I live in a home within 10 miles of a nuclear power plant. (where I work) I have a great understanding of the risks involved and am completely comfortable with a plant "in my backyard".
Using Chernobyl as a reason not to build is like saying because of the Hindenburg I will never fly in a commercial airliner.
Nuclear power has the smallest environmental impact of any current energy production method per unit of energy produced. One fuel pellet about the size of a pencil eraser produces the same energy as about 1 ton of coal, and if reprocessed 2/3 of what’s left can be reclaimed. Nuclear power is our best option for reliable, environmentally friendly, base-load electrical power.

My fiance has a history of forming non-cancerous lumps in her breasts. One thing that could have caused it is birth control. Therefore, she is kind of leary of taking birth control, so we always used condoms in stead. Are there any other women who have had this problem, and if so, do you know of any female birth control products that might not cause this to happen?

Try a combo of diaphram, spermicide EVERY TIME, and perhaps even a femidom or condom during particularly furtile periods. I know it’s not as spontaneous, but nothing is less spontaneous than a baby. Irratic, for sure, but no tolerance of spontaneity at all.

Special note to her, ALWAYS get a new diaphram each year.

Never put it on while drunk OR you will find yourself a mommy like I did.

I’m thrilled to be one, surprisingly, but sloppy diaphram use WILL result in "SURPRISES!!!".
